Stop Now Foundation Launches Community Awareness Campaign Across San Antonio

Reaching Every Neighborhood to Prevent Human Trafficking

Stop Now Foundation has launched a landmark community awareness campaign spanning all of San Antonio’s 10 council districts. The initiative — titled “See It. Say It. Stop It.” — brings human trafficking education directly to neighborhoods, schools, faith communities, and local businesses.

Why Community Education Matters

Human trafficking is not a distant problem. It happens in homes, hotels, restaurants, and online platforms right here in Texas. San Antonio, as one of the nation’s busiest transportation hubs, is particularly vulnerable. Traffickers exploit trust, vulnerability, and isolation — and that’s exactly why informed, vigilant communities are our greatest defense.

“Trafficking doesn’t look like what you see in the movies,” said a Stop Now Foundation awareness trainer. “It often looks like a teenager with a much older ‘boyfriend,’ or a worker who never gets to keep their own wages. The warning signs are everywhere — once you know what to look for.”

Campaign Highlights

  • 100+ community workshops delivered at schools, churches, and libraries across Bexar County
  • Training for first responders including law enforcement, healthcare workers, and hotel staff
  • Multilingual materials in English, Spanish, and Vietnamese to reach San Antonio’s diverse communities
  • Online learning modules available free at our website for individuals unable to attend in person
